Never seemed to see thing at quite the same angle as most other folks. If I was rich, I'd be "Eccentric".

A Tribute

In just a few short weeks the Anniversary of the Passing of My Sister, Deanne, will occur, the 15th year of her passing.

Deanne was Born on August 4, 1959, and Passed on July 14, 1991.

Deanne was, technically, my Step-Sister, born of my Step-Mother, Joyce. But, make no mistake about it, My Friends, Deanne was My Sister!

Most of my life, she was just "a little girl" who came as a package deal with Dad's New Wife, back in 1967. I was already off on my own and she was, what? 8? almost 9?

I wish I had known her better!

I recall 1975, during my "Married" years, not very happy years, when I was living in Phoenix, near 43rd Ave & Thomas Road........I, head hung low (I was Married!), traversed the parking lot to the local market when I espied a shapely pair of legs approaching and perked right up! I must have made a comment to myself.....it must have been loud! Next thing I knew, there was Deanne with a laugh...."Norm! What are you Saying?!".....hehe

When Deanne was 26 she was diagnosed with a cancer.

All the King's Horses & All The King's Men & Women gave her, after a hard-fought battle, another chance!

Five years later, the cancer returned and the King's Horses, Men & Women, not to mention the U of A Medical Center, gave her all they had......but it just wasn't enough.

They, in 1991, threw in the towel and sent my Sister home to make the best of whatever time she still had.....One of her last requests was to go fishing......I lived, at the time, in Apache Junction, Arizona and we, Dad, Deanne, Joyce, Phillip, myself.....maybe others but I just don't recall.....fished at Canyon Lake. We caught no fish but we caught much more.....a Spiritual Bond that is Eternal......

On July 14, 1991, Deanne Passed On. It wasn't easy, from what I was told.......I wasn't there.

Deanne, who worked at Basha's Supermarket, had a great turn-out at her Memorial Service! Much Family, of course, but I was Proud of the turnout from those who worked with Deanne, the Basha's Employees..........

Hard for me to comprehend that, had she lived, Deanne would be nearing her 47th Birthday!

Deanne, Sister........I Love You! See You Soon!

Norm!
