David, My Son!
Oy! Some parents think daughters are a Pain!
My Son, David, an Alabaman, has done well for himself but hey! I recall 1989, when I moved to Apache Junction.....the intent was to lure the Love Of My Life to come off the mountain and be my Woman! I weren't in the new place 48 hours afore I got a call from Pasadena! Dad! Can you rescue me? And my 15-year-0ld girlfriend? So, naturally, I done done it! Damned Girl laid on her pretty ass for two weeks afore her Pappy tracked her down! Took all my Tact & Diplomacy to calm this old boy down, too! Then, of course, I got to pay for the bus ticket home after 2 weeks of feeding and cleaning up after this piglet.....
Then, of course, when it boiled down to finding a "real" job, this young man decides he gonna be a "Model"! Hell! What a Deal! Only gonna cost ME $250 to buy his "Portfolio"! .....OK!
I seem to be on a negative trip here! Not what a Man deserves on his 36th Birthday!
I will be back! With a re-built attitude!
