Dates Of Hysterical Significance

Who amongst us can ever forget such Significant Dates as the Bombing of Pearl Harbor, D-Day or the Bombings of Hiroshima & Nagasaki? Well, I weren't even Alive yet, during those Significant Days but, still, I remember them!

More recently, Where were You in August, 1962, the Day Marilyn Died? How about November, 1963? John Kennedy was Assassinated on that Day, in 1963!

December 23, 1950? I was barely Two and sitting on the "potty chair" with Maw doin' the "paperwork" when in through the Front Door came a Soldier! I can't recall meeting him before but he was, apparently, my Dad! Home from the War in Korea, he was! What a Sight! A Giant Young Man in Full Uniform! Home for Christmas! I don't recall seeing much of Dad after that moment but, about Nine Months later, on September 12, 1951, I suddenly had a new baby Brother! They Called Him "Steve"! Yeh! Steve!

Over the next few years, "Steve" and I got to know each other pretty well.....we spent a heap of time rassling, imitating the Famous "Pro Rasslers" out of Chicago, goin' at it well into the Evening, in the front yard, the back yard, the ditch.......Life was Good!

In 1960, Steve moved to Arizona and I never saw him again until the next morning.....See, I had moved to Arizona, also! But, now, things changed! We were in a new land and Steve sniffed out new challenges! Tired of gittin' whipped by his "Big Brother", I reckon! I went on to whuppin' up on our newest Bro, Terry, only four, and Steve discovered Women.......
last I seen of him for 2-3 years, until I, too, made the same discovery!

Shortly after Steve and his pal, Al Gore, invented the Internet, though, I reconnected with them and was delighted to see that
Steve had finally become more than a Hot-
Dogger!

Now, Steve is, Dare I say it? 55! OMG! My Kid Brother is, Officially, a Senior Citizen! Yet, while I keep scheming on ways to "retire", he is still scheming on New Business Opportunities!

Hmmmmm! I must be older than I thunk, huh?

Well, Steve! Happy Birthday! Aside from this Important Date being Your Birthday, it is, also my youngest Grandson's Birthday! AND, the Second Anniversary of the Passing of Johnny Cash!

I Don't Like It but I guess things happen that way.....
