Native Americans
I saw it on A&E last night, though I already knew it to be true........a well-written docu-drama investigating the question........As I have stated many times, the First "Native" Americans were of European stock and this has now been proven.......
Based upon a single flint spear-head, found on the beaches of Virginia, researchers have expanded their knowledge to, finally, agree with me! Long about 17,000 years ago, the European Cro-Magnon, i.e. Modern Man, began crossing the ice......from Northern Europe, Scandanavia, etc., to Iceland, Greenland, the Grand Banks, and south, the Light-skinned European genes crossed the Atlantic Ocean and populated North America! Roughly 600-700 years before the Asian stock crossed the Bering Sea to arrive here.....
My previous research had indicated a linguistic link between Europe and the East Coast of North America but that subject was not touched upon by the program......
All the speculation is based upon a single spear-point, made of flint, discovered upon the beaches of Virginia.....from there, intelligent, scientific speculation takes over, rendering these facts to the realm of "theory", admittedly!
But, then, the "OJ" Factor is brought into the mix!
Seems as though 25% of the Ojibwa Tribe's (Southern Canada) DNA is, consistently, after several millennia, European. And, conversely, the same genetic distribution has been found in Europe!
This is of particular interest to me due to my own daughter's genealogical background.....She, and my Son, are Chippewa, same 'hood as the Ojibwa. My daughter is as fair-skinned and blue-eyed as any Svede would ever want to be while my son, under exposure to the sun, browns to the point that, were he a pile of ribs, it would be chow-down time!
This is yet more fuel for my weird ramblings, one may say! True! But it is Truth!
Ancient Legends of mysterious "white-skinned" Indians are commonly used as a reason for the disappearance of the Lost Roanoke Colony. My contention, as always, is that the "Light-skinned" Tribes have been there, always!
I further submit that these folks still exist! I would love to see some DNA studies done on the ancient "Hillbilly-American" Race of People who have inhabited the SE sector of North America for so long that their very language is lost within the fogs of Time.....
