Political Reality

Some famous Politician or Shaker/Mover of the last 10 years or so made a comment to the effect that we, maybe, had "Too Much Freedom"! This, of course, fomented a firestorm of protest and made him a laughing stock, for a time, at least.......Now though I think I see what his point was for it is this unsupportable concept, espoused by the Left Wing of American Politics, I.e. the Liberals (Liberal and Liberty are of the same root word.)that seems to be behind their entire agenda.Liberals appear to want total freedom for all of Earth's denizens, people of all races, creeds, colors, religions (well, maybe not Christians because they have so much already!), cats, whales, dogs, chickens.....seems strange to me how they support Free-Range Chickens but want to lock cattle into modern meat-farm pens!

But now I am seeing a pattern! This excessive Liberalism, this excessive Freedom that is brazenly eroding the fabric of American Society has a much older and concise name: ANARCHY.

Now most folks would think of Anarchy as being to the Right of Libertarianism (there's that root word again!), which is to the Right of Conservatism and, historically, they would be Right....I mean Correct!

I grew up openly espousing anarchy and, 35 years back, was an active Libertarian. Then, one day, living in Phoenix, as it burgeoned upward in population, I realized that anarchy meant that all them nut-cases behind the wheel no longer would have even the minimal restraint of unenforceable Traffic Laws! That was when I realized the terror of full-blown anarchy, the same sort of anarchy that, today, would erase our borders and throw our hard-fought-for Freedoms to the gutter for any bum to help himself to, whether earned or not. I really fail to see much difference in Socialism and Dictatorships, frankly! In either case Government (a necessary Evil!) runs things, has all the real Power......Power does Corrupt by the way.

So it seems to me that the Political Genome has been exposed as a never-ending circle, a vicious circle at that! Extreme Left becomes Extreme Right just as one travels west to arrive at the East. Extreme Left and Extreme Right are NOT Polar Opposites! They are One and the Same!

And, while this tug-of-war between Left & Right Extremes serves as the "Squeaky Wheel", a necessity toward getting anything at all done, as opposed to stagnating, it seems clear to me that the True Opposite of Radical Liberalism is Middle Of The Road Moderation.

This endless struggle between factions wanting Power is probably a natural occurance but so is the resistance to it and that resistance can come only from the people, the moderate, middle-of-the-road people who make up 99% of the world population.

So "Workers Unite", one of the old Commie exhortations, is valid but has been kidnapped and warped into another meaning altogether!

Now, personally, I believe that this is all a part of the natural progression of affairs and has happened time and time again in Human History.......but so is Resistance! One of the first Mottos of the infant Uncle Sam was "Don't Tread On Me".
These words are from the mouths of Citizens....NOT Government!
